Chinese Nationals Who Enter the B-Share Stock Market The regulations contained in the notice reportedly went into effect the date they were published. Beginning from the date of implementation, securities operating institutions may apply to domestic commercial banks to open B-share margin accounts. However, Chinese nationals may not apply for fund transfers or open B-share fund accounts until Feb. 26, 2001.
